Changing Your Dial-up Number:
If your connect box allows you to change the number before you dial, just simply change the number to the new one (Windows 95 might not save this here).
If you are using Windows XP:
- 1. Click on Start
- 2. Click on Connect To (if you don't see this, click on Control Panel then Network Connections)
- 3. Double-Click on whatever the name of your dial-up connection is called.
- 4. Change the Dial number to the new number you selected from above.
- 5. Click on Dial
- 6. When asked if you would like to make this change permanent, click Yes.
If you are using Windows 95 or Windows 98:
- 1. Click on My Computer (on the Windows Desktop)
- 2. Click on Dial-up Networking
- 3. Right-Click whatever the name of your dial-up connection is called.
- 4. Go into Properties
- 5. Change the number to dial to the new number.
Mac Users: Please call for instructions.
Notes:
PLEASE make sure your dial-up username looks like an email address (ex: username@prexar.com or username@link2usa.com) in order for this number to work.
